The reminders of love, laughter, and lives shared. Authentic stories of your family, wonderfully told in beautiful custom portraits. I’m a storyteller, and these are the images I create.
For me, photography is an unconditional labor of love and family portraits hold a very special place in my heart. It’s why I love to capture the unguarded, fleeting moments that hold such special meaning for the families I photograph. No other profession I’ve ever held allowed me to celebrate who people are the way photography does.
It’s my passion and my joy to honor you by showing how innately beautiful and exceptional you are. I create timeless portraits that you will be proud to display in your home as every day, happy reminders of moments you will cherish forever.
My name is Cassonda (you can call me Cassy) and I love being a portrait artist. Only photography allows me the opportunity to meet someone and rejoice in their unique and amazing personality. We live in a world that, more times than not, can make us feel less than special so I ask you, don’t you deserve to celebrate you, your family, or your child? I think you do.
Becoming a parent is overwhelming in all sorts of ways. There is a new sheriff in town and they like to have it their way. Some of the best relationships I’ve had are the ones forged out of a transitional time in my life- becoming a mother being one! You balance the “new” relationship with your partner and the new expectations of becoming a parent. Finding your tribe and others who have successfully forged this path before you is key.
I am a Mother too. After years of struggle to maintain a pregnancy, we were blessed in 2014 with a son named Declan. He is our rainbow baby. Experiencing infertility can be lonely and alienating or it can also be a community building experience. The more I shared of myself with others, the more I learned I was not alone.
Family is incredibly important. There are not enough hours in the day and we so often neglect to nurture our family relationships. The spousal relationship should be the backbone of the family and usually is the easiest to put on the back burner once children arrive. When was the last time you took time just for the two of you let alone have portraits taken together? Your wedding? Me too- busy life gets even the best of us!
One more thing: you need to know what you can expect as a client. I guarantee my work 100% and as a perfectionist, I work tirelessly to make your session an experience you soon won’t forget. This is my husband Jeremiah: my assistant/muscle and sacrificial lamb when it comes to testing new things for my clients. I wouldn't be where I am without him. My at home support system allows me to be the best for you, my client, my friend.
Good planning is the best way to create a successful portrait session, so I work one-on-one with you to plan your session based on your personal style and where your images will be displayed.
During your personalized planning consult, we will go over all the details: what to wear, how to prepare your children for the session, and how you plan on displaying your portraits. Each of these items is CRUCIAL to giving you the BEST end product. How I capture your precious family depends on all these puzzle pieces and I am there, every step of the way, helping and guiding you. Family session fees start at $350. Ask about our in person consultations where we shop with you for outfits and visit your home for personalized product recommendations.
